PENSION
DAY OF ACTION! TOOK PLACE ON THE 30TH NOVEMBER 2011
GMB MEMBERS VOTED BY 4 TO 1 MAJORITY IN FAVOUR OF STRIKE ACTION
ON PENSIONS, WHICH LED TO ONE OF THE BIGGEST WALKOUTS SINCE THE GENERAL STRIKE IN 1926. "It's
not too late for the Government to pull back from any further confrontation and scrap attacks on pensions,"
says GMB. GMB members working in local government, the NHS and the Civil Service across England
voted by more than 4 to 1 in favour of strike action on 30 November 2011 to defend their pensions.
