RANGEMASTER VOTE AGAIN TO ACCEPT BY LARGE MAJORITY TO WORK A SHORTER WEEK.
GMB members working at AGA Rangemaster Leamington have again voted by
a large majority today to extend their current short time working agreement, which was due to expire later this month. The vast majority of workers at the Leamington site have been on short time since 1st
January 2009. The extended agreement will last for a maximum of a
further 6 months, with workers continuing to lose 5 hours pay a week. The agreement
is designed to avoid any compulsory redundancies.

“The result of this ballot again demonstrates the strong solidarity of GMB members at AGA Rangemaster and their continued
willingness to sacrifice a proportion of their wages over a possible additional 6 month period to help avoid any further redundancies. This result is all the more inspiring when you consider that workers have already
been working short time for the last 6 months, with the financial hardship that entails. I know that our members would also
join me in thanking the GMB Convenor and Shop Stewards Committee for all their hard work during this difficult time.
