MASS
MEETINGS BEING HELD TO CONSULT WITH ITS MEMBERS ON SINGLE STATUS.
GMB are holding five meetings for Birmingham City Council employees
GMB are holding mass meeting to consult with Birmingham City Council employees
regarding Single status around Birmingham next week. Birmingham City Council is currently consulting
with the Trade Unions on a new Pay and Grading Structure. It is envisaged by
the City Council that this process will be completed by the end of April 2007.
This City Council, as part of this consultation process, has
also made an offer to the Trade Unions on a Single Status package. The Unions
have been asked to respond to this offer by the 24th April 2007. THE GMB HAS SERIOUS CONCERNS ON THE CURRENT OFFER FROM BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL.
In view of this it is essential that members attend
any of the arranged mass meetings, in order for the GMB to advise members on the current offer from Birmingham City Council
and the concerns that we have.
