MASS MEETINGS BEING HELD TO CONSULT WITH ITS MEMBERS ON SINGLE STATUS.

GMB are holding five meetings for Birmingham City Council employees

GMB are holding mass meeting to consult with Birmingham City Council employees regarding Single status around Birmingham next week. Birmingham City Council is currently consulting with the Trade Unions on a new Pay and Grading Structure. It is envisaged by the City Council that this process will be completed by the end of April 2007.

This City Council, as part of this consultation process, has also made an offer to the Trade Unions on a Single Status package. The Unions have been asked to respond to this offer by the 24^th April 2007. THE GMB HAS SERIOUS CONCERNS ON THE CURRENT OFFER FROM BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL.

In view of this it is essential that members attend any of the arranged mass meetings, in order for the GMB to advise members on the current offer from Birmingham City Council and the concerns that we have.

Thursday 3^rd May 2007	Harborne	Martineau Centre, 74 Balden Road, Harborne, Birmingham, B32 2EH
Tuesday 8^th May 2007	Moseley	Queensbridge School, Specialist Arts College, Highbury Community Campus Queensbridge Road, Moseley, Birmingham. B13 8QB
Thursday, 10^th May 2007	Handsworth	James Watt Primary School Boulton Road, Handsworth Birmingham. B21 0RE
