Branches are the basic units of the union's organisation; they consist
of all members in a given area or workplace.
Each GMB Branch has its own Officers: Branch Secretary, Branch
President, Auditor, Branch Youth Officer, and Branch Equality Officer.
All Branch Officers are elected every two years and are usually
volunteers.
These individuals are not employed by the GMB but work on behalf
of the union to provide advice and support to those members belonging to their Branch.
