GMB ROCK AT THE V- FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND

This year V2007 held in Staffordshire this weekend will have a brilliant atmosphere with a brilliant line up featuring some of the best music artists, including The Killers, Kasabian, Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol.

GMB will be participating at this event to keep young members informed and encourage them to join for re-assurance and safety whilst at work in their every day life.

GMB Birmingham & West Midlands Region will be spending the weekend listening to music, chatting to the crowds about the benefits of belonging to a trade union. The GMB trailer will have a prominent presence and hopefully attract loads of attention. It’s important for the GMB to have a presence here and show that we’re here to support young people who don’t know their basic rights at work and therefore it is important that the GMB helps get the message across, particularly on the role that unions play within the workplace.

Gordon Gibbs, GMB C80 Dudley Branch Secretary and Event Organiser said “We would like to encourage people to come and chat to us and ask all those questions they may have about trade unions or just issues they may have at work. Hopefully we can get the message across how important it is to have that security that someone is there to help if needed”.
