Job fears as Kidderminster school undergoes non-teaching staff review
NON-teaching staff at a Kidderminster academy could face redundancy as school chiefs carry out a restructure.
King Charles I School, in Comberton Hill, said a reduction in funding had resulted in a need to carry out the review, which is in the “very early stages”.
No decisions have been made at this point and the school will consult with staff and union representatives.
A spokesperson for King Charles I School said: "We can confirm that the school is currently undergoing a restructure of non-teaching staff.
“This process is still in the very early stages and is an essential response to the challenging financial climate which has seen a reduction in funding.
“We will be working closely via a consultation with staff and union representatives to ensure the most appropriate structure for the school. Providing the best possible education for our pupils will remain our top priority."
Stuart Harrison, GMB Organiser said: “We have been made aware of possible redundancies and we are looking to engage with the school at the earliest opportunity.”
