GUIDANCE ON LITERACY & NUMERACY ISSUES FOR HLTA
The Teacher Training Agency (TTA) have issued a fact sheet which covers the level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy required to achieve higher level teaching assistant status i more detail.
Many candidates have been put off applying for HLTA assessment or training as they have seen it as a requirement for O level English and Maths. This factsheet should be useful to show the alternative and easily accessible ways of meeting this requirement.
